While these upper 70s temps may be great for many (and for energy consumption), it may be just too hot for you to sleep through well.


You will want to experiment with different temperatures to see which one you can best sleep with. And if you find a lower temperature still has you waking up sweating in the middle of the night, it really may be a humidify problem. Lower moisture in the air will make the air feel cooler in your home, even if the thermostat setting is at the same temperature.

Not only does help you save energy (and lower utility bills) by making sure your cooling system isn’t running too hard when no one is home to enjoy it, a programmable thermostat will help you ensure your home is prepped for the perfect sleeping temperature.
